Sustainable heat exchanger technology for medium/large Heat Pumps using natural refrigerants

In this presentation, we will describe how new heat exchanger developments make it possible to create efficient and sustainable fossil-free Heat Pump solutions using natural refrigerants. We will describe a few cases that have been long operating successfully.

Session Beschreibung

In this presentation, we will describe how new heat exchanger development makes it possible to create efficient and sustainable fossil-free Heat Pump solutions using natural refrigerants. We will describe a few cases that have been long operating successfully.
Heat exchangers are key components in Heat Pumps, largely determining their overall efficiency. Besides delivering maximum heat transfer, a heat exchanger in a Heat Pump fulfills various duties, the main ones are evaporation and condensing so operating with two phases but also sub-coolers, de-superheaters and oil coolers are important to achieve the best overall efficiency of the system. Large temperature differences and temperature lifts are challenges heat exchanger must deal with and in some applications they must also with ...
