Description

The introduction of the new E5V-C valve is aimed at extending the range of CAREL products for transcritical CO₂ system applications.
The evolution of regulations in the commercial and industrial refrigeration market has led to a global trend in adopting solutions with low environmental impact refrigerants, combined with growing demand for increased performance in terms of energy saving.

This new segment of the range allows CAREL to strengthen its offering for centralised systems, guaranteeing the possibility to promote on the market solutions that are suitable for medium- and large-sized compressor racks, approximately in the range from 100 kW to 600 kW.
The E5V-C valve extends the range of products specifically designed for R-744, to date available for systems up to 150 kW.

The E5V-C valve sets a benchmark for the industry with its unique features: ease of installation, operation and maintenance, reduced weight and size, and use of high-strength materials. All these features are combined to high reliability, for which, thanks to the stress test plan conducted, Carel can guarantee 1 million cycles of operating useful life.

Thanks to its technical features specifically designed to ensure use in the carbon dioxide industry, combined with maximizing energy efficiency and ease of integration, the E5V-C valve contributes significantly to improving the performance and efficiency of refrigeration systems, offering a return on investment through reduced operating costs and extended life of system components.
In fact, energy efficiency is one of the strengths of the E5V-C valve. With its ability to precisely modulate refrigerant flow, thanks to its equipercentage regulation profile, the valve helps keep the refrigeration system in optimal condition while minimizing energy waste.
