New technology in light of F-Gas 3.0

The EU F-Gas Reg. (EU) No 573/2024 significantly impacts current and future technologies. This seminar covers topics like the phase-down of F-Gases, certification for alternative refrigerants, and advances in RAC components and systems. CSG will offer insights from the latest decisions in the EU.

Description

This short seminar aims to illuminate several pertinent and timely topics:
• The phase-down of F-Gases in refrigeration and air conditioning applications, including the substitution of HFCs with low-GWP refrigerants. Discussion of new synthetic and natural refrigerants, HFC and HFO blends, R-32, CO2, ammonia, hydrocarbons, HFO-1234yf/ze/za, and secondary refrigerants.
• The certification of personnel and companies in the use of alternative and natural refrigerants for refrigeration and air conditioning on an international scale; the safe handling of flammable refrigerants.
• The advent of new technology in RAC components and systems. The development of new components, systems, and solutions aimed at reducing pollution and saving energy. Topics include renewable energies, energy efficiency, and eco-design.

Centro Studi Galileo (CSG) is the most prestigious training center in Italy and a leader in Europe and globally for education and information in the fields of refrigeration, air conditioning, and renewable energies. CSG collaborates with United Nations agencies (UNEP, UNIDO, UNDP), the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIF-IIR), and the Association of Contractors AREA. It is particularly noted for delivering the 'European Conference on the Latest Technologies in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

An additional benefit of this Chillventa symposium is the insights gained from the last EU Conference held in 2023, such as:
• The critical role of renewable energy in decarbonization, including solar thermal, photovoltaic, and Heat Pumps.
• The limited number of refrigerant options, most of which will be mildly or highly flammable, with few exceptions.
• The increasing importance of safety devices in component selection.
• The future role of IoT and remote servicing."
