Product information

The Polytector III G999M is a modern and versatile multi-gas detector. With its five sensor slots (3x electrochemical for toxic gases, oxygen and hydrogen, 1x catalytic combustion for combustible gases and vapors, 1x infrared for carbon monoxide and combustible gases) it is able to monitor up to eight gas concentrations simultaneously. The G999M is approved for use in mining as well as Ex zone 0.

In diffusion mode, the portable gas detector monitors ambient air for dangerous gas concentrations and warns its users as soon as a threshold value is exceeded. It uses three different alarm signals: audible (buzzer), visually (LEDs and display backlight) and vibration. When the sensor cover is pushed up, the G999M will switch to pump mode and absorbs air from confined spaces or hard to reach places using its integrated pump and a suction hose or telescopic suction pipe.

The G999M can optionally also be equipped with a radio module. Measured values and alarms are then sent to the control center or supervisor. The G999 series not only includes the G999M with approval for mining and Ex zone 0, but also the G999E with a fourth electrochemical sensor, the G999P with a PID sensor for VOCs as well as the new G999S for measuring methane (0-10,000 ppm / 0 – 100 % LEL / 0 – 100 vol %) and hydrogen (0 – 2,000 ppm / 0 – 100 % LEL / 0 – 25 vol %).
