About us

Kaimann GmbH is a part of the Saint-Gobain Group and offers a broad product portfolio in the field of elastomeric insulation materials for a wide range of applications and manufacturers.

Flexible insulation materials from Kaimann are important components for a high-quality end product and are used, for example, in building services engineering, industrial plants as well as ship and rail transport. But Kaimann also offers ideally tailored solutions for manufacturers of appliances such as heat pumps and refrigeration systems, complementing specific manufacturer solutions.

The products are sold in more than 50 countries and increase energy efficiency, combined with effective corrosion, fire and noise protection. OUR TECHNICAL INSULATION KAIFLEX OFFERS:

  • TOP PERFORMANCE FROM EVERY CELL - The closed-cell structure of Kaiflex is formed from individual, self-contained cells. As a result, the insulation material already has "by nature" a secure vapour barrier integrated across the entire insulation profile and offers a water vapour diffusion resistance of up to μ ≥ 10,000. Kaiflex cannot become soaked during its service life and therefore retains its excellent insulating performance.
  • RELIABLE PREVENTION OF CONDENSATION - Dew formation can lead to damage to insulation as well as technical equipment. Due to its closed-cell property, Kaiflex keeps pipes and ducts dry and prevents corrosion under the insulation (CUI).
  • EXCELLENT THERMAL VALUES MINIMISE ENERGY LOSS - A technical system with suboptimal insulation generates increased operational costs. Kaiflex has low thermal conductivity, which leads to lower energy loss and increases the efficiency of the overall system.
  • IN-BUILT ANTI-MICROBIAL RESISTANCE - Mould growth can have a negative impact on indoor air quality. Kaiflex is naturally anti-microbial and resistant to the development of mould and eliminates any chance for bacteria.
  • REDUCED SMOKE - In the event of a fire, Kaiflex increases visibility in buildings and reduces contamination of the inventory. At the same time, its improved fire behavour provides prolonged protection to people from harmful smoke in rooms and corridors.
  • EFFECTIVE SOUNDPROOFING REDUCES NOISE DISTURBANCE - Acoustic comfort improves quality of life. Kaiflex has noise insulation characteristics that reduce the noise level of technical systems, helping to make the surrounding environment quieter.
  • HIGH-QUALITY APPEAREANCE - Insulation is often installed in the visible area of the building users. Kaimann products are the right choice for aesthetically demanding interior and exterior projects.

OUR PERFORMANCE FOR OEM-MANUFACTURERS - Tailored production from small complex geometries to large components in shipbuilding

  • CONSTANT AVAILABILITY OF THE PRODUCT PORTFOLIO - High-quality thermal and acoustic insulation can be quickly customised for every requirement
  • PROMOTING SUSTAINABILITY - Minimising production waste, reducing costs and increasing efficiency are key factors
  • FAST IMPLEMENTATION, EVEN FOR SMALL QUANTITIES - Manufacturer production process supported by more flexible production planning
  • REDUCTION OF STORAGE AND LOGISTICS COSTS - Fast production even of small order quantities supports a better process for the manufacturer
  • INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATION ON SPECIFIC USE CASES - The focus is on developing collaborative solutions that lead to the optimal product optimization.
