Heating mat systems around the cold store

A variety of heating systems are used in deep-freeze rooms, depending on the design. Klöpper-Therm offers solutions for a wide range of requirements:

• Floor heating, the so-called under-freeze protectionThe heating mat system developed by Klöpper-Therm is laid directly on the vapor barrier below the insulation and thus prevents the foundation from freezing. The simple handling of the heating mats in conjunction with project-specific installation plans and instructions as well as detailed documentation ensure trouble-free installation.
• Wall and ceiling heating in deep-freeze roomsWall heating systems are used for room walls that are completely or partially in contact with the ground and for fire protection walls between two deep-freeze rooms as well as for insufficiently ventilated cavities. These systems are also used on airlock walls or ceilings to prevent condensation or ice.
• Column base heatingIn the case of insulated and non-insulated column bases within deep-freeze rooms, the heat flux via the column from the ground must be compensated. Our special column base heaters are suitable for this purpose.
• Concrete heating in the door areaIn door areas, the concrete heating increases the temperature of the concrete and thus prevents both the freezing of the door seal on the floor and the formation of ice in the entrance area behind the door.

Electric ramp heating

Electric ramp heating is used to keep traffic routes, roadways, footpaths, parking garage entrances, bridges and stairs free of snow and ice. The same applies to open areas in industrial plants, where unrestricted access to parts of the plant is essential for reasons of occupational safety.

Control systems

Klöpper-Therm plans and supplies the appropriate switch and control boxes to control all these different heaters. Electronic temperature controllers with digital temperature display and current monitoring for each individual heating mat are standard. Fully automatic control via humidity and temperature detection of the heating systems leads to efficient and economical use of the energy used.

Emergency call devices

The deep-freeze heating systems are supplemented by mains-independent emergency call devices, which are prescribed by the accident prevention regulations for deep-freeze rooms with a floor area of more than 10 m². The Klöpper-Therm emergency call devices are equipped with acoustic and visual alarm signals.
