Chillventa 2024 set to launch with fully booked halls and an even wider product range
From 8 to 10 October 2024, Chillventa will demonstrate its importance as the central meeting place for the international refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump industry with over 1,000 exhibitors and fully booked halls.
With more than 1,000 exhibitors in its fully booked halls, Chillventa 2024 returns to its pre-pandemic highs between 8 and 10 October, when it once again becomes the No. 1 hotspot for cutting-edge trends in the international refrigeration, AC, ventilation and heat pump industry. New products and intelligent solutions at the exhibition stands are complemented by high-calibre expert knowledge at the Chillventa CONGRESS and in the expanded supporting programme with its numerous forums and special presentations.
“In 2024, visitors can once again have high expectations of Chillventa and get the most out of their visit: As well as fantastic products and innovations from more than 1,000 leading international exhibitors across the entire supply chain from around 50 countries, our supporting programme is now even more diverse and offers many great opportunities to acquire knowledge, nurture existing contacts and discover new networks. At this event, everyone is sure to find the right contact for their current challenge. It’s where the ‘Chillventa connecting experts’ concept comes to life! This year, visitors can look forward to a much larger display area and many more exhibitors, especially from other countries, resulting in an even greater product range,” says Daniela Heinkel, Director of Chillventa at NürnbergMesse.
Both the exhibitors and the supporting programme are intent on offering visitors, most of whom are from the skilled trade segment, the best possible guidance on all key and topical issues relating to refrigeration, AC, ventilation and heat pump technology. In 2024, the hot topics are sustainability, digitalisation, the energy transition, and refrigerants. Particular attention will be devoted to the question of heat pumps and refrigerants in the context of sustainability and the circular economy – think F-Gas Regulation.
Focus topics and highlights in the four forums
Around 200 presentations with practical tips are provided by industry experts in the four Chillventa forums: “Air Conditioning, Ventilation & Heat Pumps” (Hall 4A), “Refrigeration Technology” (Hall 7A), “Applications, Education & Regulations” (Hall 8) and “A Practical Guide to Digitisation” (Hall 9). The highlights of the “Practical Guide to Digitisation” forum include interviews with experts on topics like BIM, controlling building services technology with AI, apps and voice commands, augmented and virtual reality, digital order management or digital construction files. Interested visitors can learn more about the planned PFAS ban or the amended F-Gas Regulation in the “Applications, Education & Regulations” forum. In the two forums “Refrigeration Technology” and “Air Conditioning, Ventilation & Heat Pumps”, exhibitors will show trade visitors exciting solutions for the latest issues affecting the industry and look forward to the ensuing questions, dialogue and discussions.
Other highlights include special presentations, a skills competition and guided tours
As well as the four specialist forums, two special presentations are also set to impress: The German Federal College of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology will conduct demonstrations of leak detection and tightness tests in Hall 4 under the banner “Refrigerant loss and no leak detected! How it works”. The second special presentation, the “AIT Heat Pump Innovation Lounge” is devoted entirely to the topic of heat pumps. Here, experts from the AIT (Austrian Institute of Technology) will present their latest developments and research findings. The topics covered include the optimisation of heat pumps and their use in industrial drying processes or as a substitute for gas boilers in residential buildings. The Chillventa supporting programme is topped off by the German Championship for Refrigeration Technicians, organised by the Federation of German Refrigeration Plant Assemblers (BIV), as well as four guided tours on specific themes organised by trade journal KK DIE KÄLTE + Klimatechnik and a special tour for apprentices.
Chillventa CONGRESS starts the day before the exhibition
The Chillventa CONGRESS at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, which starts on 7 October, the day before the fair, offers an even more in-depth and scientific programme. Renowned international speakers from the R&D community and industrial practice provide information about the current policy frameworks in Germany, other European countries and worldwide. Like the trade fair programme, this year’s congress will also focus on sustainability, refrigerants, and the energy transition. As well as two streams on the air conditioning of data centres and innovations and trends in heat pump technologies, it will also play host to the 8th Innovation Day Refrigeration Technology and the ASERCOM + EPEE Symposium.
