HowTo – Manage multiple online profiles correctly

 

How do I maintain online profiles if I want to take part in different trade fairs or present individual brands?

 

You can present your company and your products/services online with multiple online profiles. This allows you to reach and pick up potential customers more effectively.

You can customise the perfect online profile for any exhibition you participate in using the SelfService tool.
For example, you can use your online profiles to present two brands at a trade fair if you have booked two stand spaces there. Or you take part in different exhibitions and want to reach the relevant target groups there as effectively as possible.

Tip: First check whether the existing company profile can be used for your needs. Do you take part in different exhibitions and want to ensure a target group-specific approach? Or do you want to use it to present one of your brands? 

The following options are available to perfectly customize the online profiles for your needs

Customize your online profiles for the specific target group!

Requirements:

  • You have booked a stand space at different exhibitions.
  • The participations at the different exhibitions are available in the SelfService tool.

Use the existing company profile for one event - create additional company profiles for online profiles at other exhibitions.

Requirements:

  • You have booked multiple stand spaces at a exhibition.
  • The participations in a exhibition are available in the SelfService tool.

Use the existing company profile for the first brand and create more profiles for the other brands.


Step-by-step instructions for managing multiple online profiles

The instructions can be used for both use cases described above.

  • 1. Open overview company profile

    Click on the ‘Company profiles’ button on your dashboard. 

    Within the overview of all company profiles, you can now edit existing profiles and create additional company profiles.

  • 2. Edit and customise existing company profile

    Firstly, check whether the existing company profile can be used for your needs – do you want to set up a target group-specific approach for your participation or present several brands?

    Edit the existing company profile: 

    1. Click on the company profile in the overview or use the "Edit profile" icon.

    2. Change the company name as required, e.g. for the first brand.
    Note: The new company name/brand will be shown in the online profile, hall plan, exhibition guide and TicketCenter.

    3. Customise all remaining and relevant information in the profile and upload images/data. 

  • 3. Add another company profile

    Add another company profile if you are taking part in different exhibitions and would like to want to reach the relevant target groups there as effectively as possible or if you would like to present another brand online. 

    Note: You must have two or more participations and therefore two or more online profiles available.

    1. Click on the "Plus" icon or the empty tile and create a new company profile.

    2. Fill in the mandatory field ‘Company name in online profile / Brand’, e.g. with the second brand. Add all other basic data.
    Note: The company name/brand will be shown in the online profile, hall plan, exhibition guide and TicketCenter.

    3. Customise all remaining and relevant information in the profile and upload images/data. 

  • 4. Putting together online profiles correctly

    The last step is to put together the online profiles for your participations. An online profile includes a company profile and one or more product profiles.

    Now click on the participation for which you would like to finalise the online profile.

    1. Select a company profile / brand

    2. Check the selected product groups or select new ones

    3. Select one or two products and appropriate product groups.

    4. Complete the editing process by updating the online profile. To do this, click on the ‘Update online profile’ button.

    Follow the steps for the remaining participations and put together the online profile as required.

Fill in the company-specific information completely!

  • Add your slogan and suitable keywords.
  • Link your social media channels.
  • Make company information available for download as a PDF.
  • Provide employees for direct contact (an employee can be assigned to a product as a product expert).
  • Show your products / services.

Some contents are language-dependent, so we recommend maintaining them in German and English - please note the tips in the SelfService tool.
