HowTo – Customise product groups & industries
How can I adjust the product groups and the industry classification in my online profile?
Your company profile is already assigned to the product groups you selected in the application as exhibitor. Products must be assigned to suitable product groups first. You can make changes to your product groups and industry assignments at any time in SelfService. The adjustment has no effect on your stand placement at the onsite event.
Assigning your profiles to relevant product groups and the corresponding industry is both necessary and useful. Product groups and industries are available as filters on the website for the visitor. Website visitors can use it to further specify their search for exhibitors and products according to their needs.
Note: The assignment to an industry is only available for certain exhibitions.
Select the relevant participation
Click on the relevant (exhibition) participation on your dashboard to make adjustments to product groups/industries for your online profile.
Customise the product group/industry of a company profile
1. In the line of the desired company profile, click on the icon "Select product group" on the right.
2. In the dialogue window you can now make adjustments to the assignment of product groups. To do this, simply open the top items and select suitable (new) product groups or deselect unsuitable product groups.
The industries are displayed under the product groups - you may have to scroll down further in the dialogue window. Select one or more suitable industries.
3. Complete the change by updating the online profile. To do this, click on the button "Update online profile".
Adapt product groups of a product profile
1. In the line of the desired product profile, click on the icon "Select product group" on the right.
2. In the dialogue window you can now make adjustments to the assignment of the product groups. To do this, simply open the top items and select suitable (new) product groups.
3. Complete the change by updating the online profile. To do this, click on the button "Update online profile".
→ The product group/industry customisation will be displayed on the exhibition website after successfully updating your online profile.
→ Product groups and industries are linked to the filter criteria on the exhibition website and have an impact on how your company and products are found online via search.
